Movember

During the month of November each year, Movember asks men across the world to grow a moustache with the aim of raising vital funds and awareness for men’s health issues. Movember moustaches were first grown in Australia back in 2003 and since that time word of Movember and its men’s health messages have spread across the globe. Movember currently runs official campaigns in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada, South Africa, Finland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Spain, Hong Kong , Singapore, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Austria. In addition, Movember is aware of supportive Mo Bros and Mo Sistas dotted around the world; all of whom have played an important role in growing Movember into what it is today. {via}

Jewelry Organization

Well let's just say you have a lot of Jewelry ... and we're talking about A LOT! I've been buying all sorts of Jewelry since ... well basicly since I can remember buying stuff. And with years the amount of my Jewelry collection has gotten out of my hands. I did throw out so many things during all these years, but still! It's out of control! And now (now is two years) when I'm daily making new pieces my stash is just getting bigger and bigger! 

So it's been a while since I first started to think about how this organizing solution is just not working. I need something bigger, better, more transparent so I can easily find what I'm looking for, ... but no matter how hard I look I just can't find enything like what I imagine in my head. So I'll build my own - that's my bright idea at the moment. I'm still looking for perfect material and all the things I need, but I will make it. Because I can't handle all the drama when I need something and can't really find it anywhere in the house. 

So if you're Jewlery collection is bit smaller than mine, here are some pretty ideas that might work for you.

I adore every single piece, because I know how many hard work is put in there. How many love and devotion.

I have a lot more to show ... but for today, let's just say this is something to look forward to other new designs.

Nov izziv CRAFT-alnice je tukaj!! Temo sem tokrat izbrala jaz, glasi pa se BARVE JESENI. Verjamem, da boste na tole temo veliko lepega lahko ustvarile, kajne? 

Moj izdelek za tokrati izziv so male veveričke. :) Uhančki z dvema veveričkama v čisto pravih barvah jeseni - različni odtenki rjave, oranžna, bež, ... 

Ne pozabite torej izdelati kaj lepega v jesenskih barvah, ter sodelovati na tokratnem izzivu.

I have a suprise for you!

Well I'm pretty sure you do.

But I can't tell you just yet. 

I'll just give you few hints - I love making Jewelry and soon you can expect a lot of new items coming out of my studio. 

I would love to share more with you, but you'll have to wait and see what I've prepared for you. New items, new materials and new style. I can't wait! And I'm pretty sure you're going to love it. 

And if any one of you is asking "What about your current Jewelry collection?" No need to worry, I will still make it and enjoy every single moment of it. :) Actually there are some new designs coming up soon (+ new items are listed in my Etsy shop every single week!), so you could say I'm hyperactive when it comes to my business.

One very special birthday

I share this picture on Instagram (username: manuela_s) and Twitter (link on the left) few days (weeks) ago, but never post it here. So let's do it now, shall we? :)

It was grandmas 81st birthday (on August 24th). And few weeks before that she saw me making this cute little light blue earrings. She told me she wants a pair of that same earrings. And I totally thought she's just joking. But she was serious. And she even kept asking me every now and then, if she will receive it for her birthday or not. So that was the moment I realize this women is not messing with me. She really wants light blue earrings. 

And when her birthday came I gave her one of the best presents I ever gave to someone. She was so happy about her new earrings! I don't even remember seeing her so thriller about anything like this before. She didn't care about other gifts we gave her! She was just looking at her new earrings and smiling.

And when I thought it can't get any better: she kissed them! She kissed the earrings are hug me again + kiss me on the cheeks! Gosh - I was in shock! 

So this is another think that shows me that I should stay on my path - keep doing this and make people happy. Because at the end of the day that's all that matter ...

P.s.: Three weeks later she still wears them 24/7! She put them on on her birthday and today she's still wearing them. I guess she really really likes it, ha? ;)

Do you dare

I had this beautiful necklace in my mind for so long time and it finally came true - well I make it come true, otherwise it would still be just and idea. I wanted to create this chunky, big statement necklace and I made it! 

It looks so good if you ask me! And yes - it's impossible for me to be objective about it. ;) 

So at the moment two finished pieces are in neon pink (fabulous!) and sparkly blue colour (amazing!). But I have more colors on my desk so you'll be soon able to see what have I prepared for you. Can't wait to show them all to you!!! So exciting!! :)

Že precej časa sem imela v mislih prav določeno verižico. Kako mora zgledati, kakšne barve bo in vse to. Videla sem jo že, le narediti jo je še bilo treba. In končno se je zgodilo tudi tole!

Če mene vprašate (seveda je nemogoče, da bi bila povsem nepristranska in lažno skromna) mi je verižica NORO VŠEČ!! Točno to kar sem si zamislila sem tudi uspela narediti! To se ne zgodi vedno ... tisti, ki radi ustvarjate zagotovo veste, da marsikaj v glavi zgleda povsem drugače kot končan izdelek. 

V tem trenutku sta končani dve verižici - ena neonsko roza barve (fenomenalna barva!) in druga modra (tako lepa barva, da jo je užitek gledati!). Imam pa na mizi še nekaj novih barvnih kombinacij in komaj čakam, da vam še tiste pokažem. 

Pozor: Prednaročila za takšne verižice ŽE sprejemam. Vsi tisi, ki si ni želite čakati, da bodo končno objavljene v moji Etsy trgovinici, mi lahko pošljete mail (ali me poiščete na Facebook-u) in si jo zagotovite še pred vsemi ostalimi. Na voljo vam je katerakoli barva - kar si zamislite lahko naredim! Kako fajn, kajne? ;) 

This necklace style is not for everyone - you have to dare it to wear it! Because if you're going to wear it, be prepared to be notices wherever you go! This is statement piece of a Jewelry and women wearing it, will be special too.

CRAFT-alnica #64

Pa smo nazaj - z novim izzivom, ki vam bo zagotovo všeč (če smo čisto iskreni in nič lažno skromni, so vsi izzivi do sedaj posebno zanimivi). 

Temo je tokrat določila Lili, glasi pa se VSE NAJBOLJŠE! A ni odlična tema?? Vedno pride prav in ni važno kateri mesec v letu je - vedno je treba nekomu zaželeti vse najboljše (razlogov je veliko - ne samo rojstni dnevi). 

Moj izdelek za izziv je takšen: 

(rožice sem izdelala sama in niso kupljene - kar pomeni, da je tale verižica neponovljiva (zaradi mešanja barv, je skoraj da povsem nemogoče dobiti identični odtenek, kot je tale na verižici - ne gre namreč za fimo maso ali kaj podobnega, tukaj barve ne bi bile niti najmanjši problem))

In kakšne veze ima tole z rojstnim dnem se vprašate?

No razloga sta najmanj dva. :)

1. zelo podobno tej verižici (žal slike od tiste nima :( ) sem podarila eni zelo pomembni osebi za njen rojstni dan. Tako da je zelo direktno povezana z besedama "Vse najboljše." :) 

2. rože - a obstaja kaj bolj univerzalnega od rož, ko nekomu izražamo "Vse najboljše??" Po moje ne ... no čokolada mogoče. ;) Samo čokolada redi, rože pa nimajo takšnega učinka. ;) 

Torej to bi bilo to od mene ... za danes. 

Ne pozabite: 

- sodelovati na izzivu "Vse najboljše"

- ter pokukati k Simoni, Lili in Janji ter preveriti kaj so lepega ustvarile. ;)

Back to School with Style

Hello lovely people, 

here in my country school starts at September 3rd (for Elementary schools and High schools, for students classes start later). So that's just around the corner, right? So we better prepare for that day and go back to school with style.
